With over half a billion active users every month, Snapchat is still the 11th most popular social media platform in the world. Snap Inc, the parent company of Snapchat, strives to create platforms for users to tell stories and foster genuine friendships through a visual medium. 

To help Snap Inc. on their mission, Switchup wanted to create a space that utilized the visual medium to help connect the employees in the office space. Switchup took thematic elements from Snapchat, such as colors and logos, and utilized them throughout the space. The iconic “Snapchat yellow” is perfect for creating an uplifting atmosphere that promotes happiness and well-being. This color pairs well with warm, yellow light fixtures that are easy on the eyes. Additionally, the yellow also reflects sunlight, keeping the office illuminated with natural light that benefits mental health.

As for the Snapchat Ghost, the mascot of the company, Switchup wanted to find as many creative uses for the icon as they could. Snapchat is all about using images in unique ways to bring people together, and Switchup knew that they could do the same for this space. The Ghost is used in many different mediums, from bathroom signs, to walls, to art around the office. While expressed in a variety of ways, that Ghost is what ties the space together and makes everything feel friendly and familiar. 

With hundreds of millions of users, Snapchat needs that spirit of creativity and unity that will allow them to achieve their goals.
