White Plains, NY
Built in 1928 by Ambassador George Fuller, the structure replaced an earlier 1900 residence destroyed by a fire.
The new program required total demolition to the second and third floor interiors, partial demolition of the first floor interior and complete interior demolition of the basement and infrastructure.
A new stair was included in the program to serve the dual purpose of an emergency exit and intercommunicating circulation stair as well as a design feature and campus overlook.
The exterior was completely restored with all new custom windows and doors. The program also required modifications and additions to the exterior beyond the new stair tower.
Major design components of the original estate site plan and landscape were also recovered, redefined and enhanced.
