A campus imagined to be a never ending boulevard houses 32,000 employees – a city within a city. My role in this project was BIM modelling from design development stage to issual of good for construction drawings. I was also responsible for coordination with services, vendors and presentations. This project gave me a wide insight on international standards, fire standards, bye-laws and zonal codes.
Alongside, I also worked on presentations and conceptualization for projects like Microsoft, Hyderabad and Lulu mall, Kochi.
2. Novotel : Bangalore
Located in the heart of the CBD (Central Business District) at a major junction, the triangular plot demands for a design that represents panache and style. I was mentored and worked from design development to issual of construction drawings. My exposure became double fold as I used Revit from concept to detail drawings, presentations, estimation and schedules. This project stands as a landmark in my career as it distills multi-disciplinary understanding in me. Further, site visits enhanced my understanding of site problems, practicality and design changes to suit site conditions. Overall this project is a beacon of my skills, design capability and all my learning
Design Cafe, Bangalore City, IN, Design Experience Intern
Design Café – is an award winning Interior Design Company. Ar.Gita Ramanan was my mentor, a recipient of several women entrepreneurship awards and a TEDx speaker. I was allowed to be client-face and was responsible for costing, estimation, material selection as well as detail drawings. Here, I learnt the importance of anthropometry and designed custom furniture to suit the client needs and ergonomics. As a startup that focused on efficient management and client delivery, I learnt methodical ways to organize my work and plan ahead. My knowledge of materials, products, visualization and communication drastically improved and I was appreciated by my seniors of consistent and productive ideas I got to the table. In my tenure at Design café I handled various successful interior design projects with clients across the globe.

The structure takes its inspiration from the traditional Iroquois longhouse. Its orientation manipulated to grow vertically because the future would demand for increased shelter proportional to population growth. We imagine a world where genetically modified trees and plant forms can become the building material, with modified pigmented networks forming the skin. We conclude that in the future is transient. Since the entire structure is alive, once its purpose is terminated, it becomes one with nature. As the name suggests, Aputi, Inuktitut for “snow on the ground”, disappears after a season of need.
