The St. Louis Chapter of the American Institute of Architects presents a book award in memory of Betty Lou Custer the long-standing executive director to the chapter, in recognition of her service to the profession of architecture. The prize is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate receiving the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree who has contributed willing service to the school.
