“FLUID SYNTHESIS”

The project is called "fluid Synthesis" and the objective was to create a cultural art center in the heart of downtown historical Jersey City that is a fluid transition between the nature of the land bridge and the cityscape that surrounds. One of the most critical aspects of the project was to create a structure that mimicked the fractal art form of acrylic pouring; this was incorporated to bring more of Jersey City's art scene into the design; was implemented in the plan for the structure creating the essence that the center was poured out from the landbridge. The community center contains permanent and temporary exhibit spaces, administrative areas, and studios dedicated to local artists; As well as providing public 24-hour access to the Jersey City land Bridge. The center incorporates sustainable practices to lighten the project's environmental footprint.
