In a major expansion and overhaul of their original West End site, we upgraded an entire block of 15 Georgian townhouses, including 11 listed buildings and two of merit, for Soho House & Soho Estates adding a contemporary architectural pavilion into a central courtyard. Completed in February 2018, the project involved the meticulous restoration of this historic site, reinstating a domestic scale to the interior spaces, while removing all the back-of-house activities to a new building at the rear and therefore freeing up more space inside for guests.
The project included the refurbishment of Soho’s iconic dining spot, Kettner’s, to its former grandeur, as well as a complete revitalisation of the original Soho House club including a redesign of three signature ground floor restaurants and the creation of a new entrance space. We also transformed Kettner’s upper storeys into 33 exclusive bedroom suites. The new, patinated bronze clad pavilion, with undulating pitched roofs, is the central point of the redevelopment and offsets the Georgian townhouses with its clean, contemporary materials and detailing
