This project was to design and develop a building that will house the new Center for Sustainable Design.
The facility will house the architecture department as well as the renewable energy technologies. Some of
the objectives and goals was to explore energy efficiency as a basic standard of building design and the
foundation of zero-net design. Also, incorporating principles of sustainability in the choice of building
materials, water use, energy use and building design. Being able to understand the impact of solar orientation, wind orientation and building massing will provide the community with the knowledge of sustainability.
