I am a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Architecture at the University of Notre Dame. I will graduate in May 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture and a minor in Italian. My projects for class include a mixed-use palazzo in Rome, a town house in Chicago, a hotel in Washington, D.C., and more. During any design project, I always want to create a beautiful building that is not only functional, but also contributes to and fits with the surrounding neighborhood. I'm currently in search of a summer internship to gain valuable experience in the field.
GE Aviation, Evendale, OH, US, Technical Intern
Virtual 4-week Intern Academy during which I attended seminars on skills in engineering, project management, supply chain, communication, Lean principles, and more. The fourth week involved taking part in a business simulation with a small team of other interns and making multiple presentations to employees of GE. Though not directly related to the field of architecture, this experience still provided skills that can benefit me as an architect in the future.
YMCA Camp Kern, Oregonia, OH, US, Summer Camp Counselor/Head Lifeguard/Leader of Adventure Village
I was a full-time summer camp counselor at Camp Kern for three summers (2016-2018), a lifeguard for three summers (2017-2019), and a head lifeguard for summer 2019. In 2018, I also had the opportunity to lead Adventure Village, the 11-13-year-old age group. All of these positions required working with other counselors from a variety of backgrounds to create a magical, fun, and safe experience for the campers that kept them outside and active.
University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN, US, BArch, Bachelor's Degree in Architecture
The University of Notre Dame's program has allowed me to gain valuable knowledge of classical architecture and urbanism, and how each has progressed and evolved throughout history. It has given me an appreciation for the value of designing not only with the building's functionality in mind, but also the surrounding environment. The School also uses a hand-drafting approach in the first three years in order to develop design skills, and then combines those skills with computer programs during the fourth and fifth years of the program.
