INCLUSIVE DESIGN + AFFORDABLE HOUSING STUDIO

The objective of this project is to propose both a new physical and conceptual model to Buffalo’s Habitat for Humanity. This model proposes a new approach to providing affordable housing to the community. The goal of the Shared Housing Model is to provide and extend the help Habitat for Humanity provides to the community to include a larger demographic. Adapting the model’s construction methods and modest but pleasing materials, will help save money that can be invested into providing more homes. The attached housing model also provides the ability to create a new source of income through rentable space that can become available to those who cannot afford to qualify for a mortgage.
