THE COCOON

The pavilion is to be a symbol of HOPE for women from all walks of life and ultimately should empower any woman who walks into it.

The form is an interpretation of an embryo. A nurturing and protective environment.

Symbolically conveying that the women can be themselves within these premises without being judged.

The straight and the curved wall put together, welcomes the user at the same time gives a hint of a space that is well protected , just like a mothers womb.

The outer brick walls gracefully curve and touch the ground. Eventually merging with the surrounding landscape. Symbolically representing that it wants to gel with the environment.

This again in an interpretation of how a woman can stand out , achieve when she puts her mind to it and while given equal oppurtunity.
