Mandiant

Size: 22,673 SF

Completion: March 2013

Awards: NAIOP Northern Virginia – 2013 Award of Merit

The new Reston office for Mandiant was designed with a primary focus on open-office flexibility to encourage team collaboration. Visitors are welcomed by a striking stainless steel feature that serves as a branding wall, with natural light flooding the area through full-height glass partitions. A palette of gray and white is accented by warm woods and the company's signature maroon color, keeping staff close to windows for natural light. A "benching" workstation system allows for easy relocations, and hydraulic surfaces offer ergonomic options. Adjacent to the open studio are meeting and lounge areas enclosed by full-height glass walls for visual connectivity. These meeting spaces come equipped with state-of-the-art teleconferencing capabilities. Open "collision zones" are strategically placed for spontaneous discussions, and the main conference area features retractable walls for maximum space flexibility.
