Purrfect Hostel & Cat Cafe

Purrfect Hostel & Purrfect Cat Cafe introduces a new type of accommodation for travelers visiting new york city. The hostel is not only more affordable for visitors on a budget, but also emphasizes the well-being of animals and pet adoption awareness. The Cattery is an extension of the cafe that is open to the public and serves as a cageless shelter for ready-to-adopt cats.

Upon entering the hostel, guests can easily spot the reception area which is located directly in front of the entrance for easy access and visibility purposes.

The cat cafe boasts of a spacious 2.5-story walk-up that includes a connecting Cattery for cat-loving customers. After signing up for a specific time slot, cafe customers and hostel guests/volunteers can enter the Cattery and play with the cats.

Plenty of seating is provided for at the cafe including a dropped mezzanine between the first and second floor.

Similar to the 2.5 story cafe, the Cattery also has 2.5 levels. Guests can enter the Cattery on the first floor from the cafe or from the hostel lobby.

Built to serve and shelter multiple cats, the Cattery has plenty of catwalks and small crannies for even the shyest of cats to retreat to. The platform in the Cattery acts as an enlarged 'cat tower' meant for people to 'climb' their way up alongside the cats as an interactive experience.

The bar on the 10th floor captures the drinking nightlife of Tribeca. It also functions as a casual breakfast area for guests who choose to buy at the restaurant.

By placing the stair landing on a different location on each floor and crossing the stairs on top of each other, this essentially creates a 10 story 'cat tower' that encourages guests to explore the hostel with a curious mind.
