A recent graduate (M.Arch) from the Architecture and Planning department of University at Buffalo with a passion in space planning, designing and graphics. Grad school marks the culmination of my experiences and learning in terms of both academics and resilience. It taught me time management and shaped my ability to think critically. The new environment filled me with energy and enthusiasm that transformed in my performance, helping me score a high GPA (3.8/4).
Being a receptive individual, I began understanding the culture more and explored different opportunities. One of them being the internship at University Facilities – Design and Construction, where the ongoing projects have honed my practical knowledge of designing giving me a firsthand experience with live projects on campus. In addition to this, the assistantship with the Communication team has enhanced my writing and social skills. It gave me the opportunity to interact with a wide variety of people ranging from students to faculty, alumni to our very own dean.
Coming from a diverse country like India, I understand various languages and am trilingual. The old adage says, “all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” and as a well - rounded, ‘not so dull’ personality, I have ventured into a variety of fields like, inter – college dance competitions (3rd position for 3 consecutive years), fashion shows (2nd position for 2 years), writing feedback articles and debate columns for the daily newspaper 'The Telegraph', Kolkata and trekking under the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme (Gold award).
The opportunity to be constantly involved with activities and academics, have ameliorated the professional and personal facet of my personality.
