From 2019 to 2021, Hansel reviewed and approved a multi-phased building stabilization, moisture repair and monitoring, interior plaster repair, roof repair and replacement, as well as stabilization and conservation of carved stone façade details and structural stabilization campaigns on the Alamo, a National Register-listed property and National Historic Landmark. Working with Ford Powell Carson, architects, and Ivan Myjer, conservator, Hansel reviewed mortar recipes, wall render recipes, and inspected weather-proofing tests at the entrance portico cornice.
