The academic project sought the re-qualification and preservation of an important early 20th

century historic building and landmark in a recreational and residential area of Guarapiranga

Lake in Interlagos Brazil. As part of the historical registry, maintaining the character and form of

the building was an important requirement. Renovation solutions included zoning modifications

into a hotel and creating a new pier for water sports. The improvements hope to attract locals

and tourists again to the area.
