The historical restoration project for the Orpheum Theatre was initiated by the new Los Angeles

Department of Building and Safety requirement for restoration and preservation of roll-ups and façade

elements in downtown Los Angeles. As an iconic symbol for the downtown area the new restoration

efforts will help neighboring tenants and reduce visual pollution from other competing signage elements.
