This project was based on the ideals of a high mix of fabrications from physical to digital techniques to create an architectural intervention. The spark of our exploration was the study of traditional materials used in construction in Mexico. The Goal: In the widely visited Yucatan Peninsula, Design a respite pavilion at Chichen Itza’s ‘Sacred Cenote’ that fosters community engagement and tradition while complimenting the historical impact of the site.
