Hotel Resort comprising Hotels, Souk, Villas, Spa and Banqueting Facilities

Madinat Jumeirah, in Dubai is a truly authentic Arabian Resort and a magnificent tribute to Dubai's heritage. The brief was to create a comprehensive self-contained resort within an ancient Arabian citadel, a sanctuary of Arabian style with an overwhelming sense of tradition.

To capture this experience, the design team examined the cultural fabric of Dubai. Its humble beginnings of a small fishing and pearling community and a regional trading center. The tradition of the old forts and coral and lime courtyard houses that the founders of the city established on the banks of the Creek, which was the focus of all activity.
