The Vetter Mountain Scientist Observatory project consists of the design and development of an observatory facility located in a protected nature reserve in Los Angeles Forest. The facility will be used mostly by lookouts and scientists, and it will occasionally entertain hikers.

The project includes ADA-compliant ramps, landings, and distinct viewing platforms. While ADA-complaints make the project more accessible, the viewing platforms allow visitors to observe weather conditions, and track indigenous fauna below and around the facility. The observatory encompasses the areas for research on the lower level and spaces for the scientists to stay overnight if there are necessary on the upper level.
