The goal of the Bedford - Stuyvesant Apartment Complex was to incorporate green spaces for apartment residents, as well as Bed-Stuy residents. Using the given rectangular lot, I began pinching the corners in to create the ground level green spaces, as well as green terraces above. In order to continue to provide for the community, the apartment's first level consists of retail and community based spaces. The apartment's design consists of glazed corridors along the street wall to bring as much light into the area as possible. The apartment features studios, one bedrooms, two bedrooms, and three bedrooms. The same type of units are stacked on top of one another, consisting of flats and duplexes.
