USAF 506th Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron during Operation Iraqi Freedom
Department of Defense contractor embedded within the USAF 506th Expeditionary Civil Engineering Squadron. Provided comprehensive base community planning. Surveyed base, updated maps, and inspected buildings for real property inventory. Created designs and cost estimates for BOMs, ROMs, and SOWs for construction projects. Served as the primary point of contact for all issues related to terrain, land management, facilities management, and land utilization. The services and responsibilities included but were not limited to: updating maps to reflect recent changes due to additions/annexations/releases of land; creating real property inventory; developing and maintaining the base master plan; developing designs for site plan layouts; reviewing standard designs and standard criteria, to ensure proposed designs are in accordance with Department of Defense, Headquarters Department of the Army, Army Materiel Command, and US Army Corps of Engineers criteria; and developing electrical engineering designs for grounding and lightning protection of hangars.
