FirstWorks New Art Center&Creative Culture Revival in Providence, RI

My Degree Project is to design an art center for FirstWorks in Providence, RI, which will provide a practical, organizational workspace, and a cultural intersection that encourages mass participation in artistic activities as expressed by the mission of FirstWorks.

Statement of Intent
Utilizing the concept of Creative Industry, this degree project reevaluates and adapts the Fogarty Building to meet the needs of First Works, an energetic Providence-based arts organization. Through architectural design, this project will create a new Identity for FirstWorks. The new art center will attract larger audiences and enthusiastic participation, therefore it will propel the organization to build its capacity to serve the FirstWorks mission.
