Wuhan Joy City site is located in the heart of Wusheng Road shopping district, this project is the winner called Joy Mountain from a competition that organized by COFCO Wuhan Joy International Design.

  The system at the top of each floor is made as a street like the outdoor space. In today’s high-intensive urban development, it partly restores the experience of continuously horizontal space.

The base is divided into two roads. The west side is the original site of Xinhua which is the largest bookstore in central China when it was completed. For many Wuhan citizens, the bookstore is an important place for their childhood memories. Therefore, on the west side of the bookstore, we rebuilt it with a total area of 6,500 square meters. The top floor is an outdoor small theater. The vertical traffic system inside of the bookstore is configured according to the most modern commercial complex and connected with the main body of Joy City.

Vertical urban complex is an important way to deal with the today’s highly-intensive development in the city. Joy city is continune to explore the solution of vertical complex .

Wuhan Joy City is no exception. Due to the requirement of the strength, the commercial part of the building reached as high as nine. Based on the advanced experience of other countries, atrium space is placed in the commercial podiums by AUD team one by one. The hiking trail that was carefully planned is consists of soothing step, a standard and a cross-deck escalator.

Wuhan Joy City, expected to be finished in 2022, will become the commercial flagship radiating the three towns and even the entire Central China region. Its combination of shopping, entertainment, creative office and exquisite life will serve as a platform for this historic city and also, will bring the whole brand new urban life style to us.
