Anything but (a) Flat

Located in the New York Chelsea's famed London Terrace is a home for a true Londoner, who needed a stop over for a hectic Northeast Corridor commute.The brief was simple: "I like to close my eyes and think of my mother's rose garden". The scope of the project included opening up the kitchen to let the light in, as well as making a new bathroom that retained the charm of the original.  Jet-set details that make a busy life a bit easier like nightstands that manage several cords and charging. The upholstery and the several shades of pink that bounce around from the shelves, to the backsplash, and through the sliding door bring the spaces back to the cheer and whimsy of a fondly remembered rose garden.
