As a design professional for the past 28 years, Wayde has been deeply involved in the exploration and design of Mixed-Use, Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality projects, in addition to Academic and Cultural project types throughout the world; China, Singapore, Morocco, Hong Kong, Canada, Oman,USA and the UAE. 

Educated as an architect and urbanist, Wayde brings a critical perspective to not only aesthetics, but methodologies by which the urban context is fashioned at every scale, as well as its cultural, political and economic dimensions.

Wayde's most recent experiences have been the design of mixed use projects in more than 30 cities throughout China. Prior to his now 3 year tenure in China,  Wayde served  as a Director for the International Design/Build team for the New York University Abu Dhabi campus competition in collaboration with the NYC firm Gwathmey Siegel Architects, Sembawang Construction, DP Architects, and Meinhardt Middle East. 

For 4+ years prior to 2010, Wayde established the design firm POSIT Studio in Dubai, UAE, designing  high-rise tower projects for Commercial, Residential and Mixed-Use programs, in addition Campus Master Planning. 

Before 2005, Wayde was a Senior Designer for the winning design team in the international competition for the now iconic $5.8 Billion Singapore Sands Integrated Resort with Moshe Safdie, and the urban and architectural design for Awaj, a new town for 25,000 in Rabat Morocco for the King of Morocco with MENA Developers SAMA Dubai.

In addition to his professional adventures, Wayde has taught undergrad & grad courses at Carleton University, The Boston Architectural School, and Wentworth Institute of Technology, and has been a guest critic at the Northeastern University, University of Tennessee, MIT, Yale, RISD, & Roger Williams College.

Wayde’s own work has been published in Time + Architecture, Compasses: Architecture & Design, Architecture Plus, Architectural Record, and by Eastern Illinois University

Wayde's role as Design Principal covers a broad range of responsibilities, from design leadership and oversight for work of MG2's China Design Group in Shanghai (Architecture (High Rise office, hotel, residential as well as corporate, commercial and retail design), Urban Design and Master Planning) Wayde also uses his extensive marketing & business development experience to help grow and provide global identity to MG2's international design efforts.
