Stathis (Efstathios) Stylidis was born in 1988 in Thessaloniki, Greece. In 2013 he received his Diploma in Architecture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki while in 2017 he completed the Architectural Design postgraduate program at the University of Thessaly. He has worked for a short time as an intern in Sparch (Sakellaridou / Papanikolaou) architects and 40.22 architects, as well as for a longer period in LOT – office for architecture and POLIS architects. The last 4.5 years he was an architect at Makridis Associates (Thessaloniki).

During his studies and professional experience, he was involved in all scales and habitation typologies of architectural design, from small objects industrial design to urban planning, in order to realize the extent of the architectural activity and practice in the way each level of design affects all the others. In addition, he participated in various workshops, investigating all the forementioned fields of architecture, and collaborated with students and professionals from many countries. Cooperation, knowledge of other cultures and educational journeys to places all over the world are, according to him, the fundamental elements of a meaningful lifelong educational process.

Moreover, he is particularly interested in the art of illustration and has created a limited series of illustrations and Comics, made in pencil or ink.

Other related areas he eagerly intends to be involved in are Virtual Reality Applications and Game Engines.

In the following years he aims to expand his knowledge on theories of architecture & virtual / augmented reality, explore the possibilities that new digital design tools have created and advance his abilities concerning means of representation.
