Second-year MLA student Kamila Grigo recently saw her work published in the online magazine World Landscape Architect. Her project, Promenade Park: Digital Computations and Material Reinterpretations, was designed for her first-year landcape architecture studio, taught by Assistant Professor Liat Margolis and Lecturer Shadi Ramos.

In her proposal for the redesign of a historic urban park, Grigo explores the application of computation-driven geometry to the design of physical landscapes. The Esplanade, nestled between the historic St. Lawrence Market and the revitalized Distillery District is reiminagined with contemporary geometries and modern materials. The resulting Promenade Park is a sophisticated urban topography in the heart of Old Toronto.
