Creativity is a quality that is highly valued, but not always well understood. Whether designing a light fixture or a house, a boat or a bikini, a solid foundation in the fundamental strategies of design will open up paths of true creative expression. This studio class celebrates, clarifies, and expands the age-old design process. Student will be led through a series of exercises that will challenge the mind to define the essence of form, and ultimately assist in opening the avenues of invention necessary to see connections and relationships that lead to the development of creative solutions. Models, drawings, diagrams, and sketches will be used as vehicles for exploration, allowing students to develop the ability to think intuitively and creatively. This class will be led by David Sellers – architect, community planner, inventor, and holder of several patents. Allow your design to be your statement and vision of the status of humankind in our era!
