4PM - 6PM TRACKING TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM | Room 1102
This symposium will focus on a series of questions surrounding the incorporation and use of technology in architecture and is organized by Gabriel Fries-Briggs and Marta Nowak. Technology Seminars provide an opportunity to investigate contemporary techniques, themes, and tools through elective courses initiated by students and faculty. The content forms a broad survey of emerging technologies, their historical use, and new strategies for implementation in architecture. They were originally created to expand the use of emerging technology such as the CNC mill at AUD, the first school to incorporate the mill into its fabrication facilities. Technology Seminars build competencies in a range of topics around four core themes: material prototyping, robotics, formal experimentation, and representational media. Presenters include: Julia Koerner, Erin Besler, Guvenc Ozel, Jason Payne, and Alex Killian.
