Sarah A. Kott received her Master of Architecture degree, with honors, from Washington University in St. Louis in December of 2012, and joined Morphosis Architects in Los Angeles as a Project Designer for their Advanced Technology group in January 2013.
At Morphosis Sarah lead the facade design and optimization for three international projects constructed 2015-2018, including the design of the west facing GFRP brise soleil panels for Kolon Future Research Park in Seoul.
In 2015 Sarah joined Nbbj Design as a Computation Leader for the firm's Digital Practice group in Seattle, and lead the enclosure design for the new Seattle Opera building from concept through final construction. This new civic home for the opera was completed December 2018.
Most recently, Sarah joined Skidmore, Owings and Merrill in Los Angeles as a lead designer.
While pursuing her Masters Degree at Washington University in St. Louis, Sarah taught high school students in the ALBERTI 'Architecture for Young People' program and also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the undergraduate level Design Studios and courses in representation.
Sarah graduated with Honors from the University of Virginia in 2009, where she received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Architecture. Her specific interests lie in parametric design, material research and fabrication, as well as inspiration from various fine arts and philosophy.
