As an Architectural Consultant at the Milwaukee Public Library with the City of Milwaukee, I am responsible for the appraisal, arrangement, description, and preservation of new and existing collections within the Wisconsin Architectural Archives.
Accomplishments include:
+ Archival processing and management of the Multiple Acquisitions Project, which consists of several new and existing collections in need of integration within the archives’ holdings.
+ Archival processing and management of the Charles Haeuser Collection, which contains up to 6,500 records including drawings, specifications, files, and photographs.
Milwaukee Public Library, Milwaukee, WI, US, Volunteer
As a volunteer at the Milwaukee Public Library with the City of Milwaukee, I am responsible for the assistance, management, outreach, and support of several ongoing projects for the Wisconsin Architectural Archives in accordance with its mission. This also included volunteer work for the Milwaukee Road Archives.
Accomplishments include:
+ Development of the Charles Haeuser Collection Report & Exhibit, showcasing the recent addition of the collection within the Wisconsin Architectural Archives.
+ Providing ongoing assistance with the Catalog-Database Project for the Wisconsin Architectural Archives, which will be used by library staff as a finding-aid for retrieval of collection materials.
+ Providing ongoing advocacy and stewardship of the Wisconsin Architectural Archives, which includes the long-range 2025 Plan and the WAA & HPI Partnership between the archives and the Historic Preservation Institute at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee.
+ Assisting with the Catalog-Database Project for the Milwaukee Road Archives, which will be used by library staff as a finding-aid for retrieval of collection materials.
