Ronald Lu & Partners (RLP), a leading practice in architectural and interior design, master planning and sustainable architecture, is pleased to announce that it has received the BCI Asia Top 10 Architecture Awards for ten consecutive years in recognition of its exceptional architectural designs and sustainable building concept. As the only practice winning the prestigious title every year, RLP is honored to be recognized for its efforts in sustainable architectural design.

Mr. Bryant Lu, Vice Chairman of RLP, said, “Believing that buildings are closely linked with the people and communities, we attach high importance to the sustainability of our projects and their interaction with the communities. It is a great honor to win the support from our clients and the industry with the winning projects that manifest our belief.”

RLP won the “HKIA Merit Award of Hong Kong – Community Building” and the “HKIA Merit Award of Hong Kong – Commercial Building” in the HKIA Annual Awards 2013 with its Pak Tsz Lane Park Revitalization Project and China Resources Building Renovation Project respectively. 。Pak Tsz Lane Park has been created to bring a forgotten space, and the history embodied within it, back into contemporary Hong Kong life. There are three main elements in the design that navigate the site’s history through a series of outdoor terraces that are connected by ramps within the tree-covered park. These include a feature pavilion, four exhibition ‘garden rooms’, and an educational children’s play area. Adhering to the principle of sustainability, the Pak Tsz Lane Park Revitalization Project minimized alteration to the original landscape by conserving existing trees and introducing more plants to increase the total greenery area and total green coverage to 25% and 70% respectively. On the other hand, the China Resources Building Renovation Project revitalized the old building in a sustainable approach and greening was incorporated to improve the surroundings, making it a cost-effective and sustainable landmark of the 21st century.

In addition, in the Quality Building Award 2014, the Zero Carbon Building Project and the China Resources Building also received the “Grand Award – Hong Kong Non-Residential (New Building) Category” and “Grand Award – Hong Kong Building (Renovation/Revitalization) Category” respectively. With the theme of “Collaboration for Quality”, the Award celebrates quality buildings in the community, and reflects RLP’s devoted contribution to the community and its commitment to delivering sustainable, premium projects.
