About 

SUMMARY

I am a recent graduate of the Masters of Interior Design program at the University of Manitoba, looking to begin my career in design. I am an enthusiastic, motivated and highly creative individual with a critical eye and strong attention to detail. I am a passionate designer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who thrives in collaborative relationships with coworkers and clients.

DESIGN SKILLS

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, AutoCAD, SketchUp, SU Podium & MS Office.
  • Developed concepts from sketches, physical models, photography and other artistic explorations.
  • Created preliminary, intermediate and final design proposals for a variety of studio projects, including educational, residential, retail and hospitality.
  • Developed drawing sets composed of plans, sections, exterior and interior elevations, perspectives, lighting plans, ff&e selections and material finishes.
  • Prepared clear and cohesive visual presentations of design solutions for a variety of projects.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • Presented numerous verbal and visual design solutions to an audience of peers, professors and clients in a professional manner.
  • Arranged Meet & Greet social event with IDAS organization at the University of Manitoba to facilitate interaction between interior design students and professionals.
  • Coordinated student council groups while holding positions such as treasurer, social secretary, event planner, and president.
  • Served as student liaison on the admission’s committee for the Masters of Interior Design program at the University of Manitoba.
  • Served as studio teaching assistant where I responded to student questions, participated in pin-ups and reviews. Assisted in developing student analytical, drawing and communication skills by giving meaningful feedback during desk critiques.
  • Selected as team leader for studio project in which an office was designed, budgeted and proposed to a client.
