Pratik is an innovative and highly motivated Architectural and Environmental designer, passionate about sustainable development. He is acquainted with various stages of design and construction process from conceptual work to client interaction, CAD management, 3D design and modelling, construction documents and site supervision. He has knowledge of various simulation/analysis tools providing sustainable green designs. Pratik has experience on a variety of project types ranging from residential, institutional, recreational, cultural, commercial, mixed use and urban design.
He has more than 4 years of professional experience in architectural and sustainable designs. He has worked with a non-profit company, Hunnarshala Foundation (Gujarat - India) for 3 years (2008-2011), which works towards Environmental Sustainability using local materials, technologies and artisan skills. These building practices helped him understand the importance and relevance of local materials and technologies and their integration with contemporary building technologies. For later 1 year (2012-2013), he worked with Onyx Construction/Design (NM-USA), which also focuses on using alternative materials for energy efficient passive designs. While working in US, he was also Teaching Assistant in Green Tech. Program at University of New Mexico, Taos. Presently, he is working with Building Modelling Consultants (Gujarat-India), since Feb 2014, which does Energy and daylight analysis and carbon emissions check for building aiming high sustainability targets.
