About

I consider architecture as a tool to touch people’s lives by crafting experiences. A physical space that contributes to the feeling of an individual, causing one to pause and to observe is something I want to be responsible for crafting and choreographing.

Every built space has a surrounding and it is critical that the building responds to the surroundings. Famous Japanese Architect Tadao Ando claims that “You cannot simply put something new into a place. You have to absorb what you see around you, what exists on the land, and then use that knowledge along with contemporary thinking to interpret what you see.” There is a lot of value in beginning every architectural intervention by analyzing the surrounding context, which might lead to discoveries about what might occur in the future. Once a physical space is built, it starts to affect people who will either interact with it positively or negatively, which is why I see surrounding context as a major element in architecture. Architecture is a medium to bring people together, to unite, and to merge the boundaries of spaces and people. I like to challenge myself by solving complex problems with simple answers.
