...My new book "Buildings are for People: Human Ecological Design" will be released Spring 2016. It explores the interactions of the built environment with people and the natural environment, formulating a new approach to the process of conceiving architectural design. The book speaks to all those concerned with architecture's impact on people, our communities and our ecosystem, the state of building worldwide. More than 100 of my photographs and diagrams illustrate the concepts and methodology. Visually articulating the good and the bad, they encourage building designs that are sensitive to people, program and habitat - people-friendly and environment-friendly architecture. ...I visited CORNELL to give the Guest Lecture DESIGN + GREEN BUILDING in Design and Environmental Analysis. I was very impressed by Cornell's DEA program and the College of Human Ecology. This is an important transdisciplinary program which I urge everyone to learn about. They are doing amazing things that bring architecture, engineering and the sciences together through the lens of Human Ecology.
