Basic approach of the intervention is defined to preservethe qualities of the original space, upgrading it to provide comfort and adapt to its new use.
Recovering the old metal trusses and existing wood shingles, providing thermal insulation on them anda zinc roof seam, the large dividing wall is chopped to reveal the texture of the brick, an intense orangecolor.
On the south side, the removal of the pitched roof of the coronation of the body adjacent building
permits a creation of a terrace that provides a controlled foreign landscape that expands into the house through a sliding door of great proportions.
Throughout the large windows opened north and south, we lay out new carpentry with glass reinforced thermal insulation, workable woods reaches to the height of the steel body and fixed in the upper parts, these last ones are hidden behind the vertical structure. It formalizes a "nest" of wood above the edge of which is developed around the nave letting the sky filter in.
Placing an eave and exterior roller blinds on the south facade offers protection and noble summer
sunlight, across the whole house in winter.
