The redesign of the existing hotel included updating all guestrooms and meeting space damaged during Hurricane Katrina and adding 100,000 sf of new meeting space. A key feature of the new design is the relocation of the entry lobby from an obscure location under the back of the building to the front facing Loyola Ave. and highlighting the new entry and restaurant with a 24,000 s.f. ballroom above.
Assisted with early schematic design of new public spaces and documenting as-built conditions.
Developed construction documents for all new construction excluding guestrooms and new main entry and ballroom.
