A residential project in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Concept, design and construction was done in 1 week. The idea was to re-create the traditional japanese garden in a tropical setting. Special consideration was taken on the soil, since most of it was rock. We had to remediate the soil to bring in the new plant material. Concrete pavers and planters were constructed on site, and the pergola sits 6" of the ground to give a "floating" feeling. The pergola also included a built-in planter.
