United Security Bank Tower

This project is a unique departure in the standard method in how the how the normal banking transaction occurs. This branch is located in what was once considered a relatively high crime area and the program was tasked with solving a potential high hold-up rate addressing the safety of the bank's clientele as well as their personnel. Our firm, in close cooperation with Diebold personnel, created a "banking pod", whereas the customer would approach an individual station containing camera, video monitor,, handset for communication, VAT (vacuum assisted tube), and convenience shelf. The customer retrieves the handset thereby triggering a sensor in a remote and secure back-room location where the tellers are located. The teller has hands-free communication and sees the customer via camera, customer via monitor, customer places transaction in VAT and presses a send button delivering device to remote room placing transaction in tellers hands. Discussion is held discussing what customer chooses to do and entire transaction occurs in a completely safe environment.

The bank has encountered an extremely favorable reaction with all clientele with a very short training period to accustom clients to the new equipment. Most importantly, at this particular location, there has been a zero percent hold-up rate reducing typical losses of approximately $100k to $125k annually.
