Dwelling at Kogalnicenu

An hut transformed in a single family dwelling

Located in the center of Moldova's capital, in 2009 the residential house has raised from an old hovel.

The architect's goal was to adopt the rigid form of the construction and at the same time to keep the form alive. The exterior of the house represent an "skeleton" made from concrete.

Rough textures and stylish columns tend to support the window and to offer an image of sculptural decoration of the elevation.

A part of the inner walls were laid in brick by rural masters, leaving the uneven texture laying freely. As a result we receive an charming gaucherie which get us back to the feeling of being connecting with nature, there from where mankind has grown.

Stairs console is organically implanted between the floors. Is hard to make difference of its functional role within interior, is it just a simple functionality of the stairs of going up and down,or it gives also an decorative role...

The second floor includes two bedroom, the best place for chill and get rest.  Thanks to the skylight lantern small bedroom is a perfect place for reading.

As the result of hard and detailed work of the architect the old construction that looks like a hut before, was renewed and afforded a new living space in the center of Chisinau
