Gold Souk of BBS Mall

Investors of BBS MALL, which will be the largest shopping center in East Africa, aim to offer different shopping experiences to their visitors in the BBS Mall. The project is located in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. It has been requested by the investors to design an elegant space in accordance with the content of gold and precious stones to be sold in these shops. It is envisaged that the shops in a part of the BBS shopping center will be built as a gold and jewelery area by the investor. It is thought that these shops will be different from other shops in terms of both interior design and common areas. Gold Souk main hall is designed with a barrisol light between the 4 columns which are in the middle of the gold souk hall to emphasize midpoint as a seating lounge. It is designed as a resting and spending area for women who will shop between 4 structural columns.

Gold is a valuable commodity that has been constantly bought and sold since history. It does not have a 200-300-year history like today's currencies. The history of gold spans thousands of years since ancient Egypt. The use of arches in architecture has a history of thousands of years. The arch system, which is one of the most suitable methods for passing the gap between columns, is frequently encountered in palaces and historical bridges. In order to connect with gold, the main product to be sold, in terms of historical life, shop fronts are designed with arches. Storefronts are designed as different from other storefronts as arches. Each arches are combined with vertical box profiles and lighting to each other as one space.
