Luis found a passion for design at a very young age where he was exposed to construction sites since childhood by his father. He always looked for an understanding of the surrounding built environment and the process involved with the design field. This curiosity is what led him to pursue an education in Landscape Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona and Architecture at UC Berkeley upon his graduation from high school.
Through his education, Luis has had the great opportunity to learn multidisciplinary design and invaluable technical/conceptual knowledge that he looks to apply to every design opportunity. This has influenced the diverse experience Luis has had within the design realm as a building material retailer, landscape designer + installer, academic instructor, contractor and design intern. Experiences that he looks to grow upon in the city of New York.
Having visited New York several times, Luis sees the opportunity to become a part of the design center of the world, full of culture and knowledge. He believes that in order to be a great designer you must submerge into an environment that is full of interchanging design ideas and methods, greatly influencing the growth and foundation of design dexterity. This surrounding, coupled with his passion and strong work ethic, drive Luis to be an effective member of any office and further his growth in the city of New York.
