A third-generation angeleno, jim spent 10 years in the music industry prior to receiving his architecture & interior design degree from UCLA. He spent several years working at some of Los Angeles' and Phoenix's most esteemed firms on projects as varied as the Downtown LA Standard Hotel, the Bright Angel Lodge at the Grand Canyon, the Long Beach Aquarium, and the Boeing defense headquarters, as well as numerous residential properties throughout Southern California. Jim’s work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Entertainment Tonight, and HGTV. He founded jimhughesdesign in 2005.
