Ms. Xu acquired her Bachelor of Architecture degree in Dalian University of Technology in China and Master of Architecture and Master of Urban Planning(dual degree) from University of Southern California this May(2015). Under the influence of her father, an architect, and mother, an musician, Ms. Xu is cultivated with art and design throughout her childhood and laid a solid foundation on her future path towards architecture study.

Besides of her well performed grades during school, Ms. Xu took advantage of her spare time to learn more about architecture design by interning in multiple architecture firms. During her graduate time in USC, she worked 6 months as an intern in RTKL in Los Angeles(October 21st, 2014 - April 23rd, 2015). Before this, she interned in Gensler in Los Angeles for 2 months during her summer vacation(June 15th, 2014 - August 10th, 2014). She also interned in Aedas in Beijing(September, 2011-April, 2012) during her last two semesters of her undergraduate and other two firms before. 

Her internship experience in multiple firms practice her to be a good team player by working with diverse people, be organized and efficient on multiple works and able to met deadlines, be adaptive in new working environment under new office culture in the shortest time as well as be fully prepared for any challenge that might come.

★ One of two designer working on Design Development phase package for Ontario Mills JCPenney Conversion project within two weeks tight deadline (project type: commercial)
-Draw plans, elevations, sections and details drawings for the entire project
-Make material boards
-contact representatives of manufacture for material samples
★ Study, design and complete the concept phase of the Hollywood& Highland Repositioning project presentation package (project type: commercial)
★ Help preparing presentation packages for other projects in short limited time to meet deadlines

-Build 3D model of the podiums and study parking screen geometry and color pattern
-Prepare presentation material for my parking screen study to clients
★ Conduct intern research group project about the opportunity of downtown LA. Project is well received by critique group.

-mine is chosen as future designing Model. The hotel is currently built and open to customer
