My name is Rene Brakels and after 6 years of work experience in the US, Ireland and The Netherlands as architectural technician and designer I have just finished my master's degree at TU Delft (The Netherlands).

During my career I have worked among others with Rietveld Architects in New York, Scott Tallon Walker Architects in Dublin, and B + M Architects and Consultants in The Hague.

I have extensive experience in proactively working in a team setting, including organizing various projects simultaneously and the setting up and drawing in all phases of buildings of varying size and typology. I have always proved myself as going the extra mile and created confidence in working together with all parties involved.

My passion has been guiding buildings from preliminary design to completion as head draftsman and assistant project manager. Projects such as Pavilion Phase 2 (7,000m2) and the Eastern Docklands in Amsterdam (225,000m2) show this. Also during my recent studies I have chosen for a wide range of research and design assignments, with emphasis on the contrast between public, collective, and private spaces in relation to placemaking, with a focus on density and livability/durability.

I am extremely diligent, enthusiastic and energetic in my work to create exciting and responsible architecture.
