I am a recent graduate of the University of Washington, College of Built Environments. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture Design and have been working as an intern at Wenatchee Valley Medical Center, as well as a freelance designer since my graduation in June, 2012. I have most recently relocated to New York City in order to further my education and career in architecture, graphic design and photography. I am actively looking for internships or design positions in the Greater New York City area.
I have had the good fortune to work on all different kinds of projects ranging from high end, residential new builds, to commercial/industrial remodels, landscape projects, residential remodels, and healthcare design. I have been trained in Lean Design at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, WA and have a strong passion for adaptive reuse projects and historical preservation. I look forward to any project that comes my way and am very excited about starting work in New York City.
REI, New York, NY, US, Visual Coordinator and Sales Lead
My role as the visual coordinator for the REI SOHO team puts me in charge of the visual floor sets for each season and retail sale change. I am in charge of daily re-design for wall sets and clothing display changes as well as the organization, styling, and cleanliness of the entire soft-goods department. I have also been put in charge of the "Front of Store" window displays that market to, and engage the New York City public. I am not only a designer in this position, I am a marketer, a sales person and a leader of the department that brings all employees together as a more connected and communicative team.
As Sales Lead my role takes on a true leadership role, as I am the direct point of communication, concern, and ideas between the sales team and the managerial team. It is my responsibility to make sure things are running smoothly throughout the soft-goods department both on and off the sales floor. It is in this position that one looks to move to a managerial position or a corporate position.

Vons / Safeway Inc., Leavenworth, WA, US, Courtesy Clerk
It was my responsibility to make sure that all customers' needs were met on the sales floor, as well as to make sure that everything in the store was clean and orderly. It was also a responsibility of mine to make sure that the property around the grocery store was clean, organized and presentable for every one of our guests. Being that this is a high traffic/tourist area, everything at our store needed to look , and be, its best.
