About

Much of my coursework and a number of supplementary projects at the Savannah College of Art and
Design have centered on assessing the conditions of, and preparing reports and treatment plans for, a variety of environmental design projects. In addition, I have participated in several collaborative projects that included survey, documentation, and assessment of local or potential urban renewal and development for several major cities in the United States. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Engineering from Dong-Eui University in Busan, South Korea. Changwon and Busan, South Korea in 2003, and spent several years after graduation and beginning my master’s studies working as a junior urban planner and assistant urban planner. This experience provided me with a thorough understanding of urban planning and urban design that I have expanded further in graduate school at the Savannah College of Art and Design. While at SCAD, I have volunteered and participated on several interdisciplinary community planning and design projects with professors from historic preservation and urban planning. I also completed a teaching internship with an architecture professor and with such teaching opportunity, I was able to gain a thorough understanding how to apply digital design tools such as 3D Max in urban design and community planning.

I am an organized, efficient, and detail-oriented individual with experience communicating ideas in a variety of group situations. One of my primary career goals is to be in a position where I can integrate sustainability design principles with urban planning and development. As such, I can facilitate individual and organizations, in the creation of environment and structures that contribute to the well being of an entire community.
