I started my architectural education at Montana State University in 2003. For two years I studied Architectural Design before transferring to the University of Colorado. Once at the University of Colorado I obtained a Bachelor of Environmental Design with my major in architecture. In addition to studying architecture I began my first explorations in furniture and lighting design.
After receiving my degree from the University of Colorado I worked for Boulder Associates, a health care facility design firm. During my time at Boulder Associates I worked with a small project team to design a medical office building, surgery center and surgical training campus. While working in the office I gained experience creating construction documents, schematic designs, client presentations and assisted in construction administration.
In 2008 I moved to New York to continue my education in architecture in one of the greatest cities in the world. As of May 2010 I completed my Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute. During my two years at Pratt I continued to study architecture and furniture design using digital technology to explore design and manufacturing processes. In addition furniture and architectural design I explored the possibilities of composite structures and their future role in architecture.
