I am a graduate from West Virginia University where I graduated Cum Laude with a B.S. in Interior Design, with a minor in Communications. I started my college education studying Civil Engineering, where I completed a number of courses in mathematics and science. I recently studied in Barcelona, Spain for a semester studying architecture and city planning. I have experience working for a design firm where I assist designers from start to finish on large scale projects. My responsibilities include drafting floor plans and space planning, both by hand and using Autocad. This has portrayed my ability to work well with others, improve my problem solving skills and work within deadlines. I also have experience with communication between high end vendors concerning pricing and custom furniture. I have also completed several college courses pertaining computer drafting. Programs we focused on using were Autocad, Revit and Google Sketchup. I am a critical thinker with the urge to continue learning and growing in the profession. I hope to work alongside architects and designers in a team environment creating sustainable design.
